Fundraising event set to be held for Larry the Downing Street pet cat

A special quiz night is going to happen to raise funds for the care of 10 Downing Street’s Official Mouser, Larry.
The expense of caring for Larry has, up to now been paid for by David Cameron’s staff members, after he was declared a neighborhood moggy whom is owned by Downing Street, rather than a family pet or even an expense to the taxpayer.
The
fundraising event will take place in the State Rooms at Number 10, to generate cash for the expense of Larry’s food and also cat supplies, and definately will feature a special cat themed quiz round.
Larry was brought in
to catch mice and rats in the PM’s house, after a number of rodents had been noticed scuttling in the background of live news reports. He was from Battersea Cats and dogs Home, and although it took him a while to get his first catch, he’s now settled into life at the popular residence.
He’s also rumoured to have
found himself a special female cat, as he has been seen spending time with Maisy who actually lives within the keeper’s cottage at St James’ Park! Larry has been neutered, so there will not be any kittens.
A
representative for the Royal Parks said: “The Park Manager confirms that Larry does make trips to visit Maisy. The two appear to be content with each other’s company, sometimes enjoying meals together.”
