The most famous race horse of the Twentieth Century
Seabiscuit was not your regular tall and strong horse. He was much smaller in stature and usually finished at the back. After losing his first ten races in a row and being used as an outrider horse for most of the time, he was sold to Charles Howard, an automobile entrepreneur.
Charles Howard joined hands with trainer Tom Smith and jockey Red Pollard to form his racing team; this team changed Seabiscuit’s future. Tom Smith understood the horse pretty well and sought innovative ways of training him. After a few weeks of training, Seabiscuit and Red were on the racing track and for a change, Seabiscuit started winning these races, horses for sale , ponies for sale and stallions at stud can all be trained up to race.
After an amazing two years of winning multiple races Seabiscuit had a terrible fall which crushed its jockey’s chest, though he survived. Many predicted that Seabiscuit would never race again.
Miraculously in late winter Seabiscuit and Red made a comeback to the racing track and finished off their careers in grand style. This story has inspired many people and Seabiscuit’s story has been made into a movie and book by the same name.
